Upgrades...where it began!

Since finding PS, I''ve begun to develope a complex. I love, love, love my engagement ring (I don''t want there to be any mistake about that!)...which, I have always found to be perfect in size and what not, and still do...but some of these rings on this page are...well, for lack of a better word...WOW!

I know a lot woman have "worked" up to their current ring...so I am wondering, where did everyone start?

. my first ring was a .96 rb in a channel set diamond band, then at around year 14(?), i upgraded to a 2 1/2ct round brilliant in an antique setting with a sidestone(round) on each side. then two years later, a 3.79 ct rb set in a 3-sided pave band...i think i am done upgrading and on to other diamond pieces...

Hi,

I started with a 1.05ct princess cut, and 5 five years later, I got a 2ct emerald cut, and several years after, a 2ct transitional diamond. However, I did not trade in or sell my princess cut. It has a lot of sentimental value to me, and I cant ever imagine not having it.

Having said that, I can also understand going the "bigger" route

. I myself am lusting after a nice 3.5ct! *sigh*

I started with a very, very, very, very, very

tiny engagement ring. It is a 7 stone diamond and it is .25 ctw.

It is an old ring- about a hundred yrs old, I think it''s 22kt yellow gold, old mine cut, dont know much about the details anymore and I cant find the ring right now.
