OK, I do have a few pics; they are full of lint (so lovely) and you can definitely see the inclusions better in the pics by far than even with a loupe. (Granted, I've had to use The Cruddy Loupe, as opposed to the missing Good Loupe and Super Duper Black 'n' Shiny Loupe, both of which are hiding, of course... but cruddy loupe isn't too bad, just huge and annoyingly shaped.) Anyway, the one feather I can reliably find is located at 4 o'clock in all the pics I think. I think, mayyyybe, I finally spotted it with my bare eyeballs- of course, it could have been a facet, too! So hard to tell.

I also discovered that even better than the Sparkle Observation Chamber (where I've been spending an inordinate amount of time, just playing with the pet sparkly thing) is the landing at work, which has recessed halogen lights. Oooh!

Here's hoping the Alana expedition tomorrow is successful, and that the DH does approve a Van Craeynest setting... though I have to admit there are plenty of other things out there that would please me and if he does decide it's too extravagant I won't whine, I swear
