Upgrade on classic strand - what size?

I'm planning to upgrade the classic single stand I got for college graduation (many years ago!). The strand is 16.5" in a 6.5-7.0 size white akoya. I'm going to go to freshwater AAA, so maybe it's not technically an "upgrade", but I do want a larger size. Any thoughts on a good size - 8.5-9.5? 9.5-10.5? 10.5-11?

(I'm petite if that makes a difference - I'm not sure it does...

I would say try a few strands on to give yourself a good idea of what you may prefer. Only you know your frame, and although you are petite, you may just prefer the biggest size. I think since you are going from a 6-7mm strand, you would probably love the 8-9mm. Have you considered Freshadamas?
