Hello!
I am looking to upgrade my 2.55 carat round H SI1 AGS000 to just under the 3 carat mark, also AGS000 Ideal, also H and fine with eye clean SI1. I am also unhappy with the 60/60 cut as it does not have enough fire for me. Working with GOG only.
I'd like more fire so what proportions should I be asking them to find me in my upgrade and if I had florescence would I get more fire?

Here are the stats on the stone:
Shape: Round
Optical Symmetry: Premium
Weight: 2.55 carats
Measurements: 8.76mm long x 8.79mm wide x 5.34mm in depth
Cut & finish:
Proportions: Ideal
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Culet: None
Total depth: 60.90%
Table percentage: 59.00%
Crown angle: 33.60 degrees
Pavilion angle: 41.20 degrees
U.V. florescence: None

thank you!

I would be looking for a small table with a high crown. No, fluor has nothing to do with extra fire.

Ditto......small table 54-55% and a high crown (crown angle 34.8-35). Fluorescence does not impact fire.

Would love to see what you choose!

I agree, but I'd say 54-56 table because it will limit the options too much, I'm afraid, to just say only 54-55. Crown angle close to 35.

I will add that it's pretty hard to find many or any stones just under 3 cts, and there will be even fewer when adding extra specific specs.

I also strongly recommend including GIA Ex cut stones in the search. Jon can run the tests to see if light return is ideal, so there is no reason to limit the search to stones that are AGS graded.
