Glad you posted this because @Autumn in New England has been on my mind lately. I haven’t seen her post here in quite some time. I’ve been feeling a bit concerned. I’m hoping she’s just taking a break from ps and nothing is wrong.

LilAlex-- How did the diamond cutting from Brian Gavin go?

Hahahaha -- thanks for asking, @smitcompton! And @Daisys and Diamonds! Nothing to report yet. After a bit of a hiatus, they recently came back to me with a slightly revised post-recut estimate that was a tiny bit smaller than our initial objective. (Maybe it's more accurate to say that the lower end of the possible range of outcomes had dropped.) After mulling it over, I still decided to proceed. So no real news and nothing to show yet -- but maybe soon!

I also have a diamond pendant project with Inken that has been in the works -- stalled mostly by my indecision around the bale. It's a sapphire "target" style (not Target-style, I hope) and she is sourcing the sapphires now, I believe, and that was the most critical element for me.

I second this and I'm glad that @smitcompton gave the shoutout! I miss her insights and general vivacity -- but at least it sounds like she'll be back.

You began this project before my star ruby pendant and ring, and my project finished before yours! I can't wait to see the cut of sapphires Inken sources for you.
