I just figured I would quickly update you guys on this thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/is-this-weird-would-you-go.156105/

The wedding was this past weekend and we went, as did the rest of the close family. The family from farther away did not come and also declined our wedding.

The day of the cousin's wedding it was 49 degrees farenheit and raining. Needless to say, they did not have the wedding on the beach. They did however, have it outside under an awning. It was absolutely freezing and we still got wet.

But it was beautiful nonetheless and we were all happy for them. After a few drinks, FI and I went and hugged the bride and groom and congratulated them. By the end of the night, everyone was lovey-dovey again.

So, we went and took the high road - stayed all night and danced up a storm. But they did not get their beach wedding - and I must say that made it much easier to be happy for them.

All and all it worked out. So fingers crossed for better weather on my wedding day!

:appl: good for you for taking the high road! See, it always pays off ;))

Fingers crossed and lots of dust for beautiful sunny wedding on the beach weather for you Lucy!

Hahahahaha, I love the bolded part! So human. (I'd feel the same way.)

I'm glad you went and had a good time and were able to be there and support them. Now I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you have SIGNIFICANTLY better weather!

Ha, ditto princesss!

Can I ask what venue you are using at the Jersey Shore? I live in NJ and frequent the shore and have attended many weddings there, so I am curious as to where you are having your "shore" to be stunning and sunny wedding :appl:
