Update on my Vatche royal xprong

I just got a call from the vendor - ring came back from setter and says that the reason for the crooked-ness is that the diamond is not symetrical. I''ll have to see how it looks - I''m going later this afternoon.

I''ve never seen the specs on the diamond, it''s a .75 pointer that my husband purchased a while ago and had put in a setting I didn''t like too much. I''m sad.

I''m so sorry tulip, that''s really disappointing! I hope it looks a bit better now at least though.... If you''re really not happy with the setting though, have you considered switching it? I just hope that whatever you end up with really makes you happy!!!

There is a way to tweek the mounting to make it look right, Im sure he has it under control.

He tweeked it well! I''m home and I''m wearing it. Only I will know about the asymetry. No one else will look that closely. And the Royal X Prong is a beautiful setting. Although I''m disappointed to know that the cut isn''t what I thought, the diamond looks good in this setting.
