No, the ''tups started preschool Fall ''08. They turned 5 this past May. They should be starting Kindergarten this fall BUT J&K have decided not too, supposedly because that would cut into taping time. The ''tups will start kindergarten Fall 2010, making them 6 years and 4 months when they actually start Kindergarten.

Holy cow! I was six years and 10 months old when I started second grade! The only disadvantage to being the youngest was that it killed me to be the last to drive of all my friends.

I feel so awful for the family. Divorce is tough, and a public divorce much be exponentially tougher.

So this means they''ll start college when they are 19 years and 4 months. Although kindergarten is optional in some states, isn''t it?
 
Wow, I can''t believe the stuff about the gf possibly appearing on the show next year... yikes.

I just caught myself up on the recent parts of this thread and just watched the show on DVR. It''s all just so sad - even my FI, who doesn''t even watch it and makes fun of me for it, thinks it''s extremely sad...

I don''t like how Kate still says things about how it''s all Jon and not her. She doesn''t ackowledge being rude and walking all over him - she passes that off as her "survival self." Which I know that''s her personality, but it''s obvious how rude she''s been to him. I think she should own up to it. But it''s also sad how she was saying she certainly doesn''t want to do this alone, and has resorted to the divorce because she feels it''s the only way to give her and Jon some peace.

But I also thought Jon was acting really weird. I guess it''s shown on past episodes too, but I just now noticed it all - the earrings, the sports car, the bluetooth. I mean it''s good that he realizes now that he was letting her step all over him and now he''s sticking up for himself, but I guess that''s what Kate is saying is him "always being mad at her and won''t talk to her."

The most interesting thing of all to me was at the end when they went to the brunch. They were actually acting nice to each other. When her umbrella got stuck on his, she said "excuse me, thank you" to him instead of yelling at him to get his umbrella out of her way. She couldn''t hear him when they were done shuffling kids inside and yelled a question to her, but instead of shouting back at him like he was an idiot, she actually cordially asked him what he needed. He actually covered her up with his umbrella while she was getting back in. I think she''s starting to correct her rude behavior, and I can''t quite tell how he''s acting to her yet. But my FI thinks he''s gonna give it a year, and they''ll be back together. I guess it totally depends on what Jon goes out and does, and how they start treating each other. I always thought they were really good together when she wasn''t being all rude to him. I''d be interested to see where all of this leads. It''s such a sad word - "dissolve" the marriage. But who knows what''ll happen. Honestly, I think the best thing would be to finish this season and quit letting the rest of us know what happens, and live their lives in private!
 
Luvthemstrawbs, I was inclined to agree with your FI until the papers were actually filed. If two people have more than 10 mil in the bank, there is no way the divisions of assets is a) going to go well b) the two people will behave. A trial separation for a year? Yeah, I could see them getting back together after that. But my guess is that there will be some serious damage done when they actually go to court. Thankfully, it sounds like the court records will remain sealed. I think it''s so disgusting when divorces play out in public. People just don''t need to know.

If Mady was a brat before, I can only imagine how much more bratty she will be now.... with all of this divorce turmoil. Children often act out after a divorce - I''m sure Mady and the other children will not take this well and will act out accordingly.

I watched the show a bit when it was FIRST on (years ago) then stopped (I don''t like kids very much - LOL. KID OVERLOAD! Always loved Kate though and generally thought Jon was a bit of a putz) I HAD to watch this last one though and, as most of you, was appalled at most everything Jon did and said (putting the crooked houses WAYYYYY far away in the forest? SERIOUSLY? What an idiot!). I agree about the older girls. Mady and Cara? I found them to be..... um, let''s say...... DRAMATIC? Is that normal behaviour for girls that age or is it because of the attention of having the camera on them all the time do you think? My friend''s daughter is around that age and I''ve never seen her behave that way.
 
Girls the age of Mattie and Cara certainly can be dramatic. PLUS they have been taught to work the camera. When you go through life doing things for other people you loose what''s real and what''s for show. The twins seem like that. All the attention has been on the sextuplets and very little on the twins.

Plus I rarely saw Kate being affectionate towards them. Kate would roll her eyes a lot when talking about the girls, like they were silly little things that complicated her life because they had different needs. In many photos they are not smiling. And honestly, how old do you have to be before you can pick out your clothes? Twins dressing the same (especially when they are fraternal) is a fairly uncommon practice in 2009. I bet they will be rebellions when older.

i''m with you TGal! this girl also happens to be the daughter of the doctor that gave Kate her tummy tuck. besides getting arrested, loving to smoke ganja, and posting drunk pics of herself on the web, she seems like a real classy girl!

So what happened to the other girl who Jon had a fling with earlier (the one who lived with her brother, the blabber mouth)?

I never know what to take as truth or fiction but it does make for interesting reading. The only thing I know is tht if my marriage was in trouble, I''d turn off the cameras and focus more on making every effort to save it.
 
Did you hear the latest on how DEVASTATED he was when Kate threw him out? He moved into the home of Kate''s surgeon BUT didn''t start a relationship with this girlfriend until after Kate filed papers. Hmmm yes very devasted that he waited maybe 2 wks before vacationing abroad with his new gal

Ugh, seeing pics like that strikes fear in my heart for my daughter. Especially the pic with those guys.
 
I think we''re all getting a *real* look into them...it appears Kate is the dedicated parent, and Jon is after some teenage @$$.

The whole thing just makes me sad. And Jon''s diamond earrings look stupid. They are too small for him. When a guy wears earrings, I think they should be larger than life like the NBA players have.

I''m so glad you gals are here to update me. I can''t stomach watching the show because I think it''s so dysfunctional and there is no good that can come from it...even taking the money into consideration.
