The bracelet is stamped " L 14 K JP."
There''s a necklace along with it, though it''s a much simpler style. It might not have been a set.. maybe the relative often shopped at that store.
It kind of does look like a ring (now I want a matching ring for the bracelet), so here are a few photos to show the size. I forgot to get the necklace out for photos. Hope this isn't too many photos.
A VERY NICE BRACELET!Your Bracelet is a hinged bangle that is made of 14kt. yellow gold. The bracelet was made between 1890 and 1910 probably in America or England. The best way to seperate it from a modern replica is to loupe the stones for the type of cut of the stones. The hinged bangle was a must have in most womens jewelry boxes at this period of time. The buttercup mounts that hold each stone was extremely popular in this style of bracelet. The butter cup setting became big again in the mid 1970s and 80s because it made the stones look bigger, feminine and frilly. This type of bracelet also was made with a combination of colored gems to go with the diamonds. This period would have shown pearl, opal or turquoise mixed with the diamonds.ENJOY!
