Ritani's Reserve Ideal has mostly diamonds with a VS1 clarity rating but usually much lower, sometimes as low as Sl2. I do not understand how a diamond of that clarity can be considered top of the line. Often the star % and the lower % aren't that close to ideal either.
Conversely when I search for diamonds with a table range of 56 to 57 and a depth of 60 to 61 I mostly get diamonds in the IF clarity range. Which is way more clarity than I need in a 1.05 to 1.20 diamond.
Why am I not finding ideal Reserve cut diamonds in a better clarity range or Ideal cut diamonds with slightly less clarity.
