Understanding HPHT for Color

Hello Everyone i am still out searching for a diamond and this diamond showed up. It was HPHT treated for the E color. I am not looking for an IF diamond i am only looking for an eye clean diamond. What is the thought on color modification. This diamond was graded in 2010. Just to clarify: do you have a photo of the HPHT stone? Or a video? The WF one is almost certainly better than a treated stone, and you will get the benefits that come with purchsaing from WF.

I personally would rather have a fully natural/no treatments diamond in a warmer color than one that has been treated to improve the color. But that’s me.

Are they a similar price? If so, to me it would be a no brainer, H should face up white unless you are colour sensitive?

No question I would go with WF over the HPHT stone. The WF stone is beautiful. With no treatments.

An HPHT diamond is worth less than a non HPHT diamond of similar cut/color/clarity. If that is what you are asking. It is also harder to resell. Reselling treated diamonds is more difficult than selling untreated diamonds in general.

Yes, it changes the value a ton! Treated diamonds are worth much less (and sell for much less) than non treated stones.

It's kinda like, you're not buying an E colour. You're buying an "E" colour. I would rather a lower colour but natural.
