Has anyone had any regrets with under a 2mm shank on their ER? I love a setting that is micropave 3/4 diamond shank, but it is either a 1.8mm or a 1.6mm. I work at a desk all day, but I do plan on being active with kids (I don''t mind taking it off for working out or moving heavy things, etc). Does anyone regret their thin bands or do you find it works out fine? I''d love to know before my SO purchases anything! :)

I started a thread a bit furthur down about rings like this, and unless have a "moment" and slam your finger in a door (the thread references that, too), they can be worn just fine. Lots of ladies here have thinner shanks.

Thanks Monkey

I know I do NOT want to get my rings soldered- will that be a problem with such a thin shank? Does anyone have ER''s under 2mm that aren''t soldered with their bands? Are they durable for everyday wear?

I love the look, but my mom got me all nervous about going so thin! Any personal experience is appreciated!

My solitaire is not soldered to its jackets. As I said in the thread to which MonkeyPie alluded, my band is extremely strong.

My ering shank is less than 2mm - about 1.5mm. I''ve been wearing it almost everyday for 2 years now and it''s barely scratched. I do baby it though. I love it!
