Here is my uncerted .48 marquise.

Oh what an absolutely awesome set :appl: :appl: :appl:

I love everything about it

Thank you very much.

OP, I love what you ended up with! Everyone's little sparklies are so lovely. I would love to see more!

This is a .51ct OEC; it's currently unset while I'm debating it's next home (sell? Reset?) but this was its previous incarnation.

OP, yours is lovely and looks great on your hand. Congrats!

That's really lovely, Logan Sapphire!

Thanks everyone  and you all have such pretty rings! Maybe in the future I'd love a small marquise like in one of the first posts

Everyone's rings are so pretty!

I wanted to add a picture of my .48 solitaire in a swirl gold setting. This was actually the center stone of my mom's engagement ring. I didn't want it to look like a traditional engagement setting since I wear it on my right hand sometimes; so I had it set in this unusual swirl setting.

Excuse the wrinkly hand, it's cold out.

Lovely idea, gadgetgirl, in transforming something beautiful and making it your own. I have my mom's erring and I don't what to do w/it yet. I'll wait until the time is right.

0.29 ct MRB on my size 8 finger.

BTD I love how your ring came out, it's a fabulous cut and looks wonderful! Congrats!!

Oakleaf I adore your wedding set! Is that a semi-bezel? Do you know who the designer is? It's so elegant!

We decided on the 0.37ct H VS2 AVC! I'm currently agonizing on how to have it set lol. Here's a cell-phone pic of it in the temporary holder with my vintage wedding band. Ring size 5.75

I love the AVC! Please make a thread when you set it! And if you have any more pictures of it loose, I would love to see!

Dainty thank you! I love it too. We ordered an AVR at the same time, a 0.43, to compare the two cuts. Even though the AVR has a bigger spread, it's the AVC I keep reaching for over and over. Can't even pinpoint exactly what it is about it that I like so much better, because they are both gorgeous. Just something about it I guess!

Here's the AVC's page with ASET etc. Its dimensions are 4.15 × 4.29 × 2.8 mm. I'll try to take some more photos before we send it back to be set :D http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/F46-0960/

This is the AVR in case anyone is interested in the size:hand ratio, it's a 0.43ct G VS1:

Thank you so much for this thread! I love my gems/diamonds in the 4.5-6.5mm range, so I always love seeing setting ideas for stones in the .5 carat range.

Here is my 0.46 carat in its first reset. The second reset (halo) will be coming in a few weeks.

Thank you! I bought it at a family jewelry store in a mall. It originally had a four prong setting, but I replaced it with a north/south half bezel. It is a also a cathedral setting. I only see metal when I look at the profile, but I use my hands a lot at my job and my ring gets banged on stuff pretty often. I like know my diamond is protected. The bezel is not as obvious as the picture makes it seem. I have it paired with a flat, 2mm platinum band.

This is such a fun thread! Here is PS you can see some diamonds that could be used as doorknobs but I do love these smaller ones diamonds too. This is now rings in real life look like and look at all that beauty and delicacy in these rings!!

I have several .5 and lower rings. First is my original wedding set. The center is somewhere between a .20 and .25.

Next my three stone ring with a .48 center.

This next ring I picked up on ebay for $440 it has a .50 center

Then my heart shaped diamond also a .50

Here are a couple of my under .5 carat rings. 14K flower ring: .33 I VS2 with purplish red natural ruby halo. It's circa 1965 and the center stone has 8 prongs. The setting has white gold directly under the diamond, I think it gives the diamond a more silvery appearance than had it been open. The rubies are bright and lively, something the picture doesn't capture.

Antique rose gold Belcher-style ring with old mine cut. I forgot the specs, but offhand I'd say the diamond is .30 or .35, H VS1

Reviving the thread because I thought these little guys would be more at home here. ;))

Here is my vintage e-ring! :wavey:
Center RB .45ct K VS1
10 single cut rounds .18cttw
Size 6.25

I love the finger coverage I get from this design! I work in the woods and love the colors it flashes.

Pretty ring! Your center stone is showing a lot of great pastel colors.

^Beautiful! A nice thing also about small diamond rings is enjoyment of wearing several of them on adjacent fingers, giving a blingy look without overkill.

Here's mine! .49ct, H, VVS1. Tiffany & Co.

My .30 ct solitaire. I've included a pic alone, and a pic with the wedding band, b/c I find when you choose an e-ring you don't always think about how it's going to look with the wedding band, but really when you think about it, that's how you'll mostly be wearing it.

I think the shot of my hand in the mirror provides an interesting perspective!

And a distance shot.

I love your set, Eilonwy! Classic.

Just FYI A rose cut can give you more bang for the buck because there's no pavillion it has more spread. This ring has found a new home with another PSer but I figured I'd show you on a photo for reference. It's .45 cts on a size 3.75 ring

DaintyG can I ask where you got your emerald diamond and setting? It is so gorgeous and delicate!

Thanks! My EC diamond was from ID Jewelry. My setting was from Lord of Gem Rings on ebay. I special ordered it so that the head was the correct size. I also requested that the melee diamond quality be upgraded. I appreciate your compliment. I love my ring, but it is probably too delicate. I don't plan to have it like that forever--I may upgrade or sell it some day. For now, I just enjoy it with lots of care! :wavey:
