Its showing some leakage...can you get an idealscope for the other stone. Its got better numbers...

Let me look for a second.

Edit...looked at a lot of different vendors and this is the only other one I found. Probably not eye-clean
though. May be worth a call to find out for sure...ask for an Idealscope if it is.

Yeah, the white ring around the table is indicating light leakage. Not the greatest IS

Does anyone else have any other good suggestions?

I have a budget of approximately 12k

Looking for a I or J colour diamond with fluoresce to help mask the yellowishness

Relative to flour. Flour only is activated when in sunlight, as it responds to UV light. While is can help raise the color in some circumstances, you really should not count on it. You would need to limit to Strong and Very strong which adds a search constrain that will greatly delay the search. Also, flour can cause a hazy or oily appearance in rare cases. In most artificial light, the stone will be exactly the color your eyes see. Think of it more as a cool party trick.

There are a few things you can do that actually help. Set the stone in yellow or rose gold and look for a setting with a more intricate side view, as is the view between 45 degrees tilt and the side where color is most apparent. Settings like these are the kind I'd be thinking of.

Stunning stone RS!!! That would be a gorgeous choice! The ASET in the grading report is great and like you said, I love the small table and fat arrows!

OP, I'm just going to put this one out there in the event it peaks your interest...it hits the 2 carat mark but the depth is slightly out of the range we normally recommend, however, it still has a great spread. The inclusion could likely be covered by a prong. I would ask for an IS though and would also ask a gemologist to inspect and see if has a different undertone....hard to tell from the video since color varies from screen to screen: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...j-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-4272173

Here's another 2 carat option that at VS2 would likely be eye clean unless you're looking very closely (I previously had a 1.81 VS2 with a couple of tiny black crystals under the table and I had to look from 3 inches away at an angle to see them...I never saw them top down): https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-de...AMONDS&track=viewDiamondDetails&action=newTab

Thanks Ac117.

Anyone else have their thoughts?

How about if I took rocky salamander's idea and compared it with ED. Which would be better? It's so frustrating... they both look good. But if they were almost equal in cut quality I'll obviously opt for the bigger ED.

Ideal Scope for the 1.82

The two are very close in proportions and the same grading of SI J. So, they are a nice pair to compare. If I were choosing, I would take JA 4197606. The clarity plot is so much cleaner than the ED stone. The ED stone has mapped clouds (many) and more not shown. I've rarely seen a diamond with a cloud pattern of this frequency that I did not feel suffered in person. i would doubt that most would see this as eyeclean between the clouds and the central crystal. To me, I will take a chance on color before clarity. So, JA 41976606 would be my choice. :mrgreen2:
