Yes. It goes dark in low lighting, unlike my other stones (tourmaline, mint garnet, chrysoberyl). And it is totally meh in fluorescent lighting. Otherwise, it just loves to show off its many faces.I love the stone and the setting!! Stunning!
Does the stone go dark in some lighting? Asking as I don’t have any reddish garnets and would like to learn more. Thanks.![]()

Thanks! The ring setting is by ebay Lee Jewelry; they set the stone as well. It’s gorgeous in your pics. The faceting is really beautiful. And thanks for mentioning the rest of the stones.
Don’t have many garnets but since it’s my daughter’s birthstone I see many more on my horizon.
Do you mind sharing where you got your beautiful setting from?

Yes. It is a concave cut. Thank you.Very pretty!
Is this a concave cut? If so - it’s the only one ever that’s ever caught my eye in a good way.
Looks beautiful on you too!
I love it! It is beautiful and it is fun: looking into it, I sometimes have this "big bang" imagination, red/purple light rays coming at me.Very pretty - both the ring and the stone! How do you like the concave cutting?
