Ultrasonic working...?

I just got an ultrasonic cleaner, but I''m not sure how to tell if its actually functioning properly. When its on, I see tiny, tiny waves in the water and it sort of vibrates. Does this mean its working properly?

I should clarify, it doesn''t really look different after a cleaning.
But is this because it doesn''t work OR because my ring isn''t really dirty to start with so thats why I dont see much of a difference?

Trying putting the tip of your finger in it. If you can feel a tingle in your finger, it is working. It will feel like it penetrates it to the bone.
Only do this for a second or two. Don''t leave finger in for a prolonged time.

If you don''t feel anything, the unit may not be a "true" ultrasonic, or if it is - it is not funtioning correctly.

Some folks mistake IONIC cleaners for ultrasonics. I tried one, and saw no improvement in cleaning.
