OK so for Christmas I received the following ultrasonic cleaner: http://www.frontgate.com/jump.jsp?itemType=PRODUCT&itemID=24389&fromNewSearch=true&mercadoResultId=0&nrpAltSearch=false&altText=null
It seemed to work great and I liked the heating function.
I did notice that lately it appears to be getting super hot and I believe to a practical boil.
Yesterday - i was getting concerned as I heard how it sounded super hot and when I peaked in - I noticed my stone was facing down on the metal plate - it wasn''t sitting on side - it was literally sitting on stone. I quickly removed it and then was shocked that it was BLACK. I was horrifed as this never happened before. This is a diamond platnium ring. It didn''t come clean with a paper towel. i went to and found a polishing set I have and rubbed some of the polishing cream and used a cloth and it appeared to get clean.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? I am not sure what happened but it sent my heart pounding.
I have a pear diamond with trillions on each side. One of the trillions always appears milky as if it is fogged up inside. These were supposed to be excellent quality but I believe they are not. I am concerned that something is causing it to look like this - i am not sure if there is a tiny opening or what but I don''t like it.
