Ultrasonic Cleaner 220v?

I am finally going to buy an ultrasonic cleaner for my ring, earrings, etc. I am now in Germany and I need a cleaner that will run in Europe. Can anyone out there recommend a brand or model? I can order from the US or UK or Germany..... just needs to be able to run on 220. The Sharper Image one says not to run with a voltage converter.

Do they consider a "voltage converter" to be different than a transformer?

I lived in England for 11 years (we are Americans and had US appliances, etc), and I don''t remember much of anything that you couldn''t run off a transformer. I mean the big, heavy 25-50 pound things, not the small "voltage converters" I''ve seen in travel kits.

That''s why I ask if they mean their cleaner won''t run off an old-fashioned lead weight transformer.
