Jill made this ring from argentum. Pretty affordable. Made fast. Less than one week.
Initially I planned to make the whole set as a wedding gift for my son's teacher. But I mistakenly gave Jill my ring size. Which is very different from hers. So I am waiting for the teacher's reply to size the ring. If I don't get it soon, I shall leave it for myself. Jill is now working on the pendant.
My impression: Jill's photos of the stone are the best. More realistic than Uli's and also better than mine.
The workmanship is fabulous. Do you know if the vendor will do an open bezel? I like bezels that have either an airline or leaves the pavilion open, rather than a tube style.

I shall ask her about open bezel in general, but with this cut, it appears impossible, at least to me. The depth of the stone is larger than all other dimensions, so an open bezel would not hold it. In fact, I thought a tube bezel would not be enough, and Uli said, a closed one is fine, since the light is falling on the stone from above, and it causes the play of light on the facets. I shall ask Jill about open bezel in "normally cut" stones
