It may take me a while to receive it for several reasons, but let me post vendor's pictures of the ring. It is by Janish Jewelers from etsy.

Sorry, it does not accept extension bmp. I think the old one did...

Don't even know where Help button is... Not so user-friendly version

I hope the problem with posting pics gets resolved soon crasru. I've been eagerly waiting to see how the liquid flower looks in a setting! Can't wait :))

Which of your stones did you set?

Yep, it doesn't like .bmp for some reason. I don't think the old one did either for what it's worth, I remember being annoyed by that before.

I would recommend opening your picture in something like microsoft paint and then re-saving it as a .jpeg file.

Crasru, I am waiting on my toes to see your pictures!!

Can you change the extension to .jpg?

Open it in paintbrush (under your windows accessories) and then do a Save As, and choose the extension .jpg. Upload the jpg photo then.

I am trying

I hope it worked...

I soooooo want to see this!! :geek:

Wow! That is gorgeous! Now I'm craving a liquid flower...

Beautiful workmanship. I like how the jeweler accomodated the very deep cutlet, which is prevelant on Uli's gems.

Beautiful ring. :))

I wanted to post more pics but instead the thread was doubled. These ones disappeared. There should be some left on the new thread.

OK one conclusion: Mozilla is much better than Iexplorer

Let us try again. Original JPEGs

Another one

I have made a mistake. The name of the company is JANISH JEWELS I believe.

The stone is amethyst cut in liquid flower pattern

Jill made this ring from argentum. Pretty affordable. Made fast. Less than one week.
Initially I planned to make the whole set as a wedding gift for my son's teacher. But I mistakenly gave Jill my ring size. Which is very different from hers. So I am waiting for the teacher's reply to size the ring. If I don't get it soon, I shall leave it for myself. Jill is now working on the pendant.

My impression: Jill's photos of the stone are the best. More realistic than Uli's and also better than mine.

The workmanship is fabulous. Do you know if the vendor will do an open bezel? I like bezels that have either an airline or leaves the pavilion open, rather than a tube style.

Gorgeous stone crasru! I think I'd like the setting more if it were open at the pavilion but it's your ring and I hope you love it! :appl:

Lovely! I'm excited to see this one.

I shall ask her about open bezel in general, but with this cut, it appears impossible, at least to me. The depth of the stone is larger than all other dimensions, so an open bezel would not hold it. In fact, I thought a tube bezel would not be enough, and Uli said, a closed one is fine, since the light is falling on the stone from above, and it causes the play of light on the facets. I shall ask Jill about open bezel in "normally cut" stones

Wow, I had no idea the depth is greater than the LxW!
