UGL labs

I only found very outdated thread on UGL labs (and it was in rocky talk). had anyone heard of this lab? an ebay seller has certs from this lab. what do you think? thanks!!

In looking through their website, it looks more like a lab that does appraisals. I do not see any explanation on their ratings for coloured stones.

Discussion on the equipment UGL uses for their evaluation, which does not inspire confidence in their reports, not to mention the over-inflated appraisals.

I see nothing on their website that indicates the equipment they use. Moreover, the example they have of a colored stone report does not have any mention of treatment, which makes me think they don't have the equipment to properly test, especially for something as difficult to test as corundum (just in case that's the stone type in question). There's been discussion about it on CS as well. It's not a highly regarded lab.
