Two Tone or Stainless Steel Datejust 31?

I have been wanting a Yellow Gold Two Tone Datejust 31 with MOP and Fluted Bezel. I thought I had my heart set on the two tone, but there hasn’t been any in stock that I could try on.

I finally tried one on in a size 36 and also in stainless steel. I actually think I like the stainless steel more because I think it goes well with my ring and bracelet??

I just thought I really wanted it in a two tone yellow gold previously and am surprised that I am now considering the stainless steel.

If I want the two tone I will need to wait till one comes in stock in a size 31. Or I can get the stainless steel now.

What are your thoughts? Which one looks better on me?

First two photos are stainless steel in a size 31 and the third photo is two tone in a size 36.

Maybe it’s the lighting but they both look two tone to me.

It was hard to get a photo because of the lighting. With all the spot lights it’s kind of hard to get a real life feel of the watch.

@mtran89 - I can see it better in that image that you just posted. I agree with @AnastasiaBeaverhausen i think the single tone stainless steel is more modern.

Thank you for all your input! This is my first watch so I just wanted to be 100% sure about the decision.

I will be going with the stainless steel one, I agree it looks a bit more modern.

I would get whichever one you like better. If you like the two tone better, I would hold out and wait for one to come in stock. You don't want to have buyer's remorse!

I much prefer the two-tone.It goes with gold & white metal jewellery. I have the two-tone date-just & it is stunning

This is an example of two tone rose gold on my skin. I think I do prefer the rose over the yellow on my skin.

The rose blended in with my skin more whereas the stainless steel did pop a little brighter.

When I put my engagement ring on with the watch, it was when I was kinda leaning towards the stainless because the colors seemed to flow and match really nicely together.

I think the stainless will be a good everyday first piece and maybe in the future I will add in a solid rose gold piece as a statement piece.

I do like the rose gold better than the yellow on you but my first choice would be the stainless steel.

I prefer the SS 31 because it's a jubilee. I think that looks better IMO

I have a 31mm stainless steel and wish I got a 2 tone one. I say this because sometimes I want to wear yg pieces and when I do the stainless steel one doesn’t look nice with them. The 2 tone one can be worn with both yg and white gold.
