Two things, first is about ring sizing and the other is just opinion on value of a particular ring

I am going to propose to my girlfriend this december around christmas and have found the ring i would like to get online at alle Fine Jewelry (www.allejewelry.com)

They only sell rings in size 6, 7, and 8 and my girlfriend''s ring size is 8 3/4. Firstly is it easy, hard, or impossible to size a ring like this one up 3/4 of a ring size? will it stretch the gold too much or break it?

Secondly does anyone know anything about this company, their reptuation etc? and what do you all think of the ring? From the picture, assuming it''s not doctored, does it appear to be a good value? here is the link directly to the ring, if the link doesnt work it''s under bridal, item number is "39444 - 14K Satin/Polished White Gold .20CT Diamond Engagement Ring" The link is below however.

The link to the ring

Thanks to any and all willing to offer their knowledge to a clueless man in love!

Aww come on now folks over 20 views and not one opinion?

Help me out here *grin*

Nice looking ring... It doesn't look like sizing should be a problem... Have you asked the vendor if they will size it for you? It is reasonable to assume that they service what they sell... We've never heard of them, but that doesn't mean anything, there are thousands of vendors out there... Do yourself a favor and run the company by The Jewelers Vigilance Committee http://www.jvclegal.org before placing your order to ensure that the company doesn't have any complaints filed against them...

Thank you for the suggestion. One final thing for any of you selling diamond rings out there. My girlfriend is far from overweight but her ring size is 8 3/4, do you think this ring would look very thin and small on her finger?

What I found in searching for an engagement ring is you have to see it to know whether it will look right on your hand - so the best way for you to see if this ring will be too frail for your girl is to do some looking at local jewelry stores. That will help you get a feel for the diamond size.
Gopod luck.
