Hello everyone:

I''ve been hanging out on the board for a while and I think I''m ready to buy a diamond for an engagement ring. The problem is my girlfriend wants a princess and it is really hard finding a good one.

Here are my options so far:

0.82, G, VS1, MSR: 5.29-5.20, DEP: 68.80, TBL: 69, CULT: , POL: EXCELLENT, SYM: VERY GOOD, CASH: 3694.6, PRICE: 3770 Crown height is 9.1

or

Carat Weight 0.8 carats
Shape Princess

Color F

Clarity VS1

Depth 70.6%

Table 71.00%

Girdle MDSK to MDSK

Culet NONE

Polish GOOD
Symmetry GOOD
Fluorescence NONE
Measurements 5.21*5.21*3.68 mm

Price: 3072

Both from reputable online jewelers. I have the sarin and brilliance scope report from the first gem. Brilliancescope is top of the chart for white and scintilation and just off the top for color. The DIY cut grader on gemappraisers.com gave it a IA rating.

Don''t know as much about the other, cheaper one.

Any advice

Do you have links we can look at? Esp if there are IdealScope/Bscope reports?

I would take whichever one had the best light return for the best price. Well cut princess cut stones as you know are hard to find--so go for light return
