I''m about to purchase a 1.76 carat SI1 Princess GIA cert. diamond and have two final questions:
1. Polish & Symmetry - Would any of you recommend paying the extra money for an excellent grade in these two categories or is a VG grade sufficient (even a mix of VG and G)?
2. F vs. G color - Is it worth getting the F color with a princess diamond? I know the color grades are right next to one another (not like an E vs. G), but from what I understand, color shows more in the fancy cut diamonds.
By going with a Polish/Symmetry of VG and color G over a Polish/Symmetry of X color F, I can save upwards of $1,200 or so. Thanks in advance!
