Ok, so I saw a setting which was basically like a split shank, but was like two rings laid over eachother. The problem is I don't remember where I saw it and it could have even been custom.

This link might give you a better idea of what I mean by "two rings laid over eachother"... silver ring. However, the setting was platinum pave and much thinner/ more delicate looking!!! The delicate pave shanks in the design reminded me of Leon Mege, but I searched his site and didn't see exactly what I was looking for. He had twisted pave shanks, but not that were like two rings laid over eachother, much more intertwined like these... Art of Platinum and Art of Platinum 2.

My girlfriend liked the look of that silver ring, so I thought I might look for a setting/ semi-mount that had a similar design or pattern. Has anyone seen anything like that or have any leads?

Tacori makes one called the criss cross or cross your heart. Something like that. I''ve been in love with it for a WHILE, but I don''t like the milgrain it has.

Here''s a picture. I saw it recently in person and it is SO delicate looking. The one I saw also had TINY double prongs, it was beautiful. Someone on PS also has it with a million pictures. Her name escapes me right now, I''ll try to dig it up for you.

Michael B makes one too. Pearlman''s sells it but it''s like $8k and the prongs are kind of... unique. I think they overpower the stone. But, to each his own.

Lol! Great minds think alike, so they say!

I honestly like the Tacori better, personally.

Thanks, you guys are great, and that was really fast!

I kinda liked the Tacori although it wasn''t the original one I was picturing in my mind. I just searched and found it on billbarnes, but it requires a 1.25-1.90 ct. center stone. I''m looking to set a measily 1.12 ct.

And I remember seeing that Michael B. as well, but it was a bit too much for me as well. Both in aesthetics and in cost... $8,000 ouch. That''s more than I''m paying for my diamond!

Wait....... I found it!!! Here''s the one I was thinking of.

Platinum Semi-Mount

It''s the one on the right.

I guess this one''s an option for me, but I''m gonna keep looking for a while. There''s so much out there! Thanks guys!

Here''s the picture, sorry it''s not the best... again, it''s the one on the right.

I really thought about that Michael B setting with the twisted shank, but the $8000 seemed insane. I love a twisted shank.

That setting on the right is gorgeous and "only" $2800!! Seems like a bargain in comparison to the Michael B and just as fabulous to my eye

Yeah, I guess it does almost seem like a ''bargain'' compared to the Michael B., ha, thanks.
