Yesterday I made this necklace.
There's an IG seller who shows many versions of this turquoise dangle style necklace.
So of course I was inspired to make my own.
The turquoise is Kingman, purchased from the recent gem/mineral show.

Thanks Annette! I have fun playing with jewelry!

And no, I haven't run out of female movie stars...not by a longshot!
But I love the men, too! Yes, it's Peter Lorre! I'm a big fan.
There will be more fine actors to come.
I just wanted to switch things up a little!

Thanks Daisy! I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Also, I'm sure my hairdresser is not pleased that I stopped calling her!

So beautiful. It's my birthstone :)

Thanks @Mreader !
It was kind of a departure for me, but I'm happy with the outcome.

Thanks @RRfromR ! Your December birthstone! I bet you have some turquoise, too!

@stracci2000 I have none and I'm just learning about it. Look at this one

You have none??
It's your birthstone, so you NEED some, right away.
There's a whole new world of turquoise out there waiting for you!!!

Gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

@stracci2000 , I take that back, I have a pair of earrings that one of my friends gifted me 25 years ago from a local artisan - she has a place in Palm Springs area. I can't wear them because they are silver and destroy my ears. I agree, I need some :)

It's gorgeous stracci!

Beautiful necklace! And thanks for telling us which mine. Some day I’d love to see a feature of your diverse turquoise collection. Have you seen the Millicent Rogers collection? Such a cool museum/historical place. I think I’ve mentioned before so sorry if I’m repeating myself!

You've outdone yourself this time! The turquoise cabs match so beautifully. I think this riff on the traditional squash blossom style is so wearable! It looks so fab on you. :kiss2:

Oh yes, I've been to the Millicent Rogers Museum. Such a fabulous Southwestern collection! Pottery, rugs, textiles, jewelry!

I'm always interested in the origin of the turquoise.
Of course beautiful turquoise is mined all over the world, but I am partial to the US mines. I think it is somewhat important to know where the stones come from.
However, some really great stones come from China, Mexico, Afghanistan, Iran, etc.

Thank you @mayday!
I'm thinking of more multi-stone necklace designs for the future.
