Well, the wedding is getting closer (OK, it''s really 9 months or so) and we''re starting to look for wedding bands. I''m interested in getting a Tungsten Carbide ring.

Here is the ring that I''ve considered (it''s number one on my list), it''s the TrewTungsten "TTX" TrewEdge™ - http://weddingband.com/trewtungstenwo.html

So, after doing some searching, I came accross this ring which looks REALLY similar!!!

and the warranty/guarantee/satisfaction policy is definitely pretty good:

So, my question is, does anyone have any experience with this company? The savings is pretty significant (this ring is almost 1/4 of the TrewTungsten Ring).

In my research, not all Tungsten is created equal. I believe with Trew Tungsten, you are paying a markup, so you can save that many if you find a direct dealer. However I am not sure about the quality of the really cheap ones.

This is what one jeweler told me when we were looking at Art Carved rings vs. Trew Tungsten...

"The difference is in the quality. Trent West rings are better quality and heavier. They are also shinier. They are made here in the US and the Artcarved, overseas. Don't take that information in a wrong way. The Artcarved bands are nice and we sell many. They are just in different league. From what we understand, Artcarved bands use a cobalt binder instead of a nickel binder which True Tungsten claims, is corrosive resistant and skin friendly. Cobalt is considered a cheaper binder. There's a lot to read on the subject."

With that being said, we decided that the Trew Tungsten rings were just too much. We found the site www.tungstenpride.com There was a glitch with the site today when I ordered, and true to their promise, when I called a real person answered the phone and was very helpful. What I also found interesting about their company is that you can custom order something...if you like the design of this ring, but the style of another, they will work with you. We had tons of fun photoshopping their rings last night but in the end, my FI liked one of their display designs. If what they say is true, they manufacture them here in the U.S. and seem to take a lot of pride in their products. I'll let you know what I think when the ring arrives. I've posted a pic below. Cost was $399.

I've heard good things about Boone Rings on this site too. We nearly ordered from them.

ETA, the really nice thing about TungstenPride is that they do quarter sizes! Not all the vendors do that. Also, I believe they have a style similar to the one you like.

BTW, if you do decide on Trew Tungsten, I highly recommend weddingband.com. Call and ask for Mindy Rauf (there is also a Mindy Robbins). She is excellent. They have better prices than our local jewelers here in California. I bought both my e-ring setting and wedding band from them.

Thanks for the heads up on these guys, TravelingGal!!! I did see a ring that was similar to the ones I''m looking for (anyone see a pattern

They do offer a decent policy as well...

I''m just trying to determine what will differentiate the $650 Trew from the $350 Tungsten Pride from the $160 Tungsten Overnight.

All the rings seemingly are quality rings.... I plan on calling Tungsten Overnight tomorrow to see where the rings are manufactured and what binder they are using in the Rings.

Anyone have any experience with Tungsten Overnight?

That's pretty funny... There has to be an award for the slowest response ever on my part!

As I was typing, you already answered my question in duplicate!

My buddy purchased his ring from Robbins in Philly (he lives a few blocks away). He was equally pleased with the ring and the purchase.

My bro-in-law bought an artcarved one. He likes it. Had it replaced once cuz he was retarded and either lost it or scratched it somehow. He said they had great customer service in replacing it. Been almost 2 years now and he says it''s fine.

I''m gonna get one, but unfortunately, he ^^^ got the one design I like from artcarved. Thanks for the other sites. Now I''ve got more options.

Well... The Tungsten overnight seemed like a good idea but they are imported from China and they do not offer engraving service. The good news is that they do NOT use cobalt in the metal.

I''ll post some other sights that I''ve looked into. Perhaps some of you have had some experience with the other ones.
