I am trying to locate a place to purchase the setting in the picture below for an asscher that I already own (upgrading setting). The diamond in the pic is an emerald cut but I''d like one for an asscher. The asscher is 1.6 ct and I''d like it in a setting delicate like this one with a thin band. Has anyone seen this setting available anywhere? Any recomendations on where I can get it and what it should cost? Thanks so much to everyone posting on pricescope, you''re all so helpful.

Try James Allen.com or I know Ritani makes this setting- you can find Ritani at www.pearlmansjewelers.com. Also I know Fortunoff and Bailey Banks and Biddle (dont know where you are located) carries Ritani. Very pretty setting by the way...

Kinda like this one from dirtcheapdiamonds.com?

When you go to Pearlman''s site- click on "Designers" and then click on "Ritani." Give Bill Pearlman a call, he is great to work with I hear!!

Dirt Cheap Diamonds is the same as James Allen...same company...James Allen is the new name.

here''s a pic of the Ritani from Pearlman''s site.

Dave-

Sorry for all of these posts, but I just noticed you are from New York...All of the suggestions of where to get this setting are good...check them all out and compare prices...I am really not sure how much this would cost...any one that knows would like to chime in???

One little issue with your plan is that the stone is 1.6 ct & may have dimensions not quite like a 1.5 or 1.0 stone. I think most "off the rack" halo settings are built for "standard" sizes. It might not be a problem if you don''t mind the stone overlapping the halo a touch or don''t want the stone bezel set INTO the halo.

For a 100% flawless fit, you might consider custom. Whiteflash has done some pretty halos .. in NYC, Mark at Engagmentringsdirect recently coordinated two GORGEOUS cushion halos made to fit individual stones.

Can''t wait to see the final product, great size stone & great idea to "go halo".

Wow, fast replies, hehe. Thanks so much, those settings are beautiful. My asscher is plump and as such it has a width of about 6.5mm squared, which is pretty much a 1.5ish ct asscher -- it may then work with those "non-custom" settings. I guess halo is the term you are using, good to know that. I''ll check that stuff out. I''ll also post pics when it''s all said and done. Any more insights from anyone, on price especially, would be great. Thanks again.
