Trump Doesn't Like Losers

1) I have never been to Puerto Rico, but I suspect that it may be like Brazil, people of different colors, with inner segregation. So it might be so that to Trump, Puerto Ricans seem to be another version of Mexicans and he does not want to let them on the mainland.
2) more important, can he do anything at all? He sleeps, tweets, plays gold on weekend, and occasionally, he travels somewhere and makes speeches that don't bode well with the locals.

Question is, organizing anything needs concerted efforts, work, coordinating, staying awake. Is he able to do it?

Twitter has expanded the number of letters, and i bet its stock is up.

Presidents set priorities even if they don’t deal with specifics.

I once got inexplicable resistance to a project at work so I went to the CEO. Next meeting, he simply asked what was happening with this particular project. Lo and behold, people couldn’t get things done fast enough.

The president is like the CEO. People look to him and his priorities to set theirs. If he’s not seen to care about Puerto Rico, then purposely or subconsciously, specially given possible disaster fatigue, people don’t give 110%.

Well one can hope but his tweets irritate me to no end.

This is something that's always confused me  so hopefully you can elaborate.

If the man is someone you support, someone you think has good ideas and achievable goals, why wouldn't you want his thoughts public? Yes, we can all agree he's hot-headed, thin-skinned, impulsive and narcissistic, but those aren't traits that only come out when his fingers hit the keys. They are, without a doubt, not just awful but potentially catastrophic flaws to have in a president, period. The whole, "I hate that he tweets" comes across as "I wish his lunacy was more private."

Just as Hillary said, the man can be baited with a tweet. So, take away his phone, his twitter account, people joke as if he were a giant toddler. Why in the WORLD would we want, much less trust, a man-child who is consistently reckless with a 'megaphone?' Just imagine what's going on behind the scenes.

Twitter Trump is who he wants people to know he is. He's proud of Twitter Trump.

Twitter Trump is who he wants people to know he is. How scary is that.

Well I didn't want him as president in the first place because of his demeanor and the divisive tweeting. It's a little late for that now isn't it? I am still hoping for tax reform and some semblance of unity on the part of the GOP. But not holding my breath.

I just realized this was discussed in the lunatic tweet thread. Sorry about that! :oops2:

Red- fair enough. But at some point, when does it reach "he's too dangerous/corrupt to continue" for you? Because there doesn't seem to be a floor for congressional Republicans (and too many R citizens), which essentially removes the possibility of claiming any moral high ground for the foreseeable future. Why Trump is the hill the Rs have decided to die on is beyond me.

No worries.

Do you realize the chaos that would happen in this country if there was an attempt to remove Trump without a justifiable and legal reason simply because people don't like how he says things? It would be a crisis of epic proportions that would further rip this country apart and I want no part of that. People thought the same of Reagan at the time. He is no Reagan but the point still remains. I will continue to trust in the people around him because Mattis and McMaster are exceptionally competent. I will also continue to trust in the system we have in place to ensure that we are protected. There really is no more that I can do.

Already the parties and people in general are whipped up into a frenzy that borders on lunacy. Let's not make it worse. But if illegal tomfoolery happens then all bets are off and investigations should be handled in a democratic and calm manner.

Not for nothing. Bill was impeached for lying about a BJ, and I'd say Trump's near-certain (attempt at) obstruction of justice could be reason alone, but congressional Rs defended him even after he admitted to it. Out loud. On camera. Of course the Republicans are worried about party backlash, but shouldn't the safety of all Americans matter more at some point? There's already the fracture you mentioned within the party- establishment vs Bannon lunatics, and Trump is more than willing to help deepen the crack if it benefits him. He's for protecting himself and himself only. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he chucked his children under the bus at some point to save his own ass.

He is under investigation and I am perfectly fine with it continuing on to it's conclusion. But what else would you like to be done?

I want to add that I think the US is a very different place than when Bill was impeached, and not for the better when it comes to politics. People were more respectful of each other. I actually liked Bill because he was more moderate and his side crap was of no interest to me. In fact I wish if we had to have a democrat in 2008 it was Hillary and not Obama. She was more moderate but changed herself because of the far left of the democratic party.

Oh, the things I'd like...

Honestly, I'd be very happily surprised by more than a small handful of republicans speaking out about his abhorrent behavior. The pathetic excuses for Trump's actions coming from Paul Ryan's mouth make him look like a spineless sociopath. The less 'checked' Trump feels, the crazier he'll continue, I fear. Or... maybe not, but at least Americans would start to regain a little hope in our system of checks and balances. Right now, I have none. I think Ryan and McConnell would risk (well, are risking) driving this country off a cliff for the chance to kill the estate tax.

I will agree this is an epic opportunity for Republicans and I wish that Trump was not at the helm. But the GOP is effing it up as well and they continue to be a disgrace to those that put them there. I don't think all Americans agree that there is no hope in the system. I wouldn't want any other system that is for sure.

What does that mean? Are you suggesting that Trump is impotent? While he may not get any legislation through, that’s completely different from getting his agencies to act. The people he put in charge of his agencies are not going to ignore him.

I am comparing Trump with Obama, who was seen and heard. Most knowledge I get about Trump is through tweets. (And, yes, he occasionally travels). It looks odd to me. On the other hand, Twitter can make a politician or a public figure now. All it takes is a successful tweet.

I'd agree with you 101%...:wavey::clap:
