Trump Already Ordered Mueller Fired

If that is all you are talking about I think you are being silly. Those two agents were friends and having an affair. They were simply chatting about their opinions, which they had and have a right to do as American citizens. Nothing sinister is going on at the FBI. If you need that proven to you, by all means wait for the report.
If that is the case then why did Mueller immediately remove them when he discovered their texts and affair? If it were nothing then it was nothing right? If it were nothing there would be no need for the IG to do an investigation. I'll wait rather than take your word. ;)2

Edit - So based on your comment then if the FBI agents were Trump supporters saying the exact same things regarding Clinton, you would feel the same yes? Knowing they are lead investigators into your chosen candidate.

BTW I am not talking about the entire FBI, just these two who were deeply involved in these investigations. Highly inappropriate.

I have no idea. But Maybe the affair. I have no objection to his investigation of them, however. And it shows to me that I can trust the FBI.

I do think it is nothing. But the FBI has to look as well as to be above reproach. Hence the investigation. And more power to them for doing it.

Fine.

I have no idea. Hillary Clinton would not have betrayed her country to collude with Russia the way that Donald Trump did so the point is moot. But it irks me when you call Hillary Clinton my chosen candidate given that I was a Sanders supporter just as it irks you to be called a Trump supporter given that you supported Cruz.

Good. It sure sounded as if you were tarring the whole FBI with the same brush.

Highly inappropriate.

I disagree completely. I think they had the right to voice their opinions under the First Amendment. I also think they were right about Trump. The man is an idiot and a menace. They should have had the sense to be more discreet, though.

My apologies for not remembering you are a Bernie supporter. :kiss2: Have a good day Deb.

Are you implying that Andrew McCabe is in some way guilty of malfeasance? I think, if that is your implication, you should rethink it. My thinking is that Trump, in an effort to subvert the Constitution, pushed a loyal civil servant out of office. As he has done with so many others including Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and FBI Director James Comey.

Our Constitution is in danger and it is not in danger from Andrew McCabe.

I absolutely am. He has been at the center of conflict of interest issues for months. The possibility that any law enforcement employee has even the appearance they would place their finger on the scale for any politician under investigation is reprehensible, whether it be an R or a D.

I also thought I read a few months ago that he was planning on retiring in March of this year. I’m betting his reason for leaving are probably very much in line with @AGBF ‘s comments above.

CNN reported Andrew McCabe was forced out by Chris Wray.

Wray was at the Hill to read the intelligence memo yesterday.

We need a little smile.

Red-

Andrew McCabe had a sterling reputation until Trump decided to run him out of office. He brought McCabe into his office for a loyalty test right after he fired Comey and when McCabe wouldn't pledge his loyalty (he said he had not voted in the 2016 presidential election although he is a registered Republican), Trump became vengeful as he did with Comey. He started a smear campaign about McCabe.

It is on the record. It will all come out in the end. I am not afraid of the truth. I am just very sorry for Andrew McCabe, who is a patriot and for our our country and the truth. Never in my life did I think I would be defending the FBI. The FBI has trampled on the rights of many minority and left wing citizens. But in the end, it stands for the United States, not for Russia. I still wonder if should be such a nationalist and a flag waver, talking about treason. Do national boundaries matter that much? We are all human. But I remember that when I was 26 and living in France when I went to the American Embassy and saw the young marines, I felt at home. And I felt safe. Not that France was a dangerous place then, but it was not home...except the Embassy. And I was really American.

I am not afraid of any truth either. No matter what it is. I am deeply disturbed by texts of people who are supposed to be beyond reproach and without bias in their actions as law enforcement. I don't care what your personal opinions are but you had better not let those opinions seep into your judgement or actions. If you can't be equal in your application of the law then you are in the wrong job. It will all come out in the end.

This was the comment by a reader after an article about McCabe leaving, at Wray's cowardly urging, in "The New York Times". Almost all the readers felt the same way: that McCabe was forced out by Wray, who was complicit with Trump, who has suborned the Constitution successfully.

"And Trump rolls on, supported by the complicit GOP.

Yates
Comey
McCade

Rosenstein has a target on his back.

No one should be surprised when Trump orders the firing of Mueller, that is exactly where he's headed. For certain. Trump's closest advisor, Sean Hannity has repeatedly assured Trump he can pull this off and survive."

No one accused Andrew McCabe of unequal application of the law. No one said his opinions seeped out in his judgement or actions.

President Trump, on the other hand, has acted to to try to stop an investigation because it affected him personally. I hope you are infuriated by that.

He should leave it alone and let Mueller do his job I agree. If Trump did anything illegal it will come out.

By hinky do you mean their personal political beliefs? I dunno, we should read Trump's phone logs and Clinton's (oh wait they probably have).. when we start tearing a federal employees political ideology we are starting to tread in deeper water Red, when I was a kid they called it a witch hunt.. I don't care if employees of the government have republican or democratic beliefs, as we all know Trump is on a huge rampage against democrats, he wants to rid DC of any public worker who voted for Clinton. Asking for loyalty from the head of the FBI would signal to me that he's not my president, he's not open to discourse other than knocking down every little thing that Obama did. Just his stance on the birther fiasco was enough for me to know, he's not my guy (well actually I knew about Trump from living in NY for most of my young life). The word is: integrity and Trump has none. :wavey::wavey::wavey:

It is my understanding that it was a discussion in a meeting that included talk of firing him. I have issues with what appears to be hinky crap by partisans in the DOJ and FBI. I am surprised that people have not lost their jobs.

So let's go through all phone logs, you can't just pick these two. I'm sure more than 50% of federal employees can't wait to see Trump crumble.

Really? These two were neck deep and heading up these investigations. Not just an agent with partisan views, which is fine, while doing their job in a professional manner.

Do you know for sure anything seeped into their work? I've not read anything to that effect.

If you have read the texts and don't see blatant bias with suggestions that something be done, then there is nothing more I can say.

This is the difference between republicans and democrats for wont a better term.. Yes I do, I think they had their personal opinions and they vented to each other but I don't believe they would purposely create fake information or try to influence because they swear an oath to be loyal.

I [name] do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

People who take that oath forsake it more often than I care to even imagine. And should be held accountable when they do.

I haven't read them all I guess. But nothing they have done shows me that they did anything. Mueller did the correct action because he wants his investigation to be above reproach, I'd do the same. But I would love to read trumps msgs, and Sessions', I'm sure there is a whole lot of interesting things to read.

If you have read the texts and don't see blatant bias with suggestions that something be done, then there is nothing more I can say.

I don't have proof that people do it all the time??? I believe that people who take this oath in the government will live by it. I can't find the all the texts between these two.. can you point to the place where they are?

I too believe it most of the time. But if people at a federal law enforcement agency are using their position to alter or steer investigations based on politics then We need to know about it. Obviously Mueller thought enough of whatever he found to remove them, and others, immediately.

Hmm. It is so interesting when using a search engine with the words "Peter Strok Lisa Page" and "texts" that I get all these returns of strokes (medical), key strokes, etc. that have nothing to do with these two people who are at the center of all this, even when I click on the News tab. Why is that? I am using Bing and not Chrome.

Anyway I know you hate Fox but the texts are on this page.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/01/29/strzok-page-and-fbi-texting-scandal-explained.html

They are also here

This one bothers me more than any other and who is "Andy"?

"I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office — that there's no way he gets elected — but I'm afraid we can’t take that risk," he wrote. "It's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40."

What does that mean?

This one as well

Page warned Strzok via text about the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state, saying in February 2016 that she “might be our next president.”

“The last thing you need [is] going in there loaded for bear,” Page continued. “You think she’s going to remember or care that it was more [DOJ] than [FBI]?”

Maybe because for serious searches Bing is a crap search engine compared to Google?

I hate using Google though. Just on principal. I know it sounds silly but there it is.

I just notice I forgot the Z in his name in my post. my search had it though or maybe it didn't. Oh well.

This is what people should really be talking about. He wasn't under oath, but Trump has already been caught under many lies. About firing Mueller. About why comey was fired. About whether he was aware of the meeting with Russians, and who was at that meeting.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/k...-lied-about-trying-to-fire-mueller-2018-01-29

All Mueller needs now, is a thorough interview with Trump, under oath.

This is my other prediction. Trump and co are going to go into overdrive, trying to find dirt on people who oppose them and fill the news with this instead.

My son seems to think that even if Mueller is successful, The Republicans in The House will never impeach Trump. I wonder what that will look like.

I agree with your son House Cat. He won’t be impeached as long as the Republicans are in charge.
