I have seen some really beautiful rings since I started my search, but I want to find out if there is a way to find the really unique, one of a kind jewelry without having to design it myself. How can I go about searching for those unique and unusual designs?
The best way is to ask for the name of designers that do
Unique designs. To get really unique "one of a kind" you
May have to design it yourself or with the help of a designer.
So do you have any examples of what you consider unique and nice? That would help us to point you in the right direction.
Is this ring for you or for your GF?
I highly recommend CVB Inspired Design. I am on my second ring being designed by her right now. She really can do any style. She is an artist/designer.
Check pictures of her work out on FB, IG, and she has a website, too, but not many pictures there (a few good ones on the homepage).
Green Lake Jewelers in Seattle has a nice on-line gallery of custom rings they've made. In ready-made rings, you might want to look at Danhov's designs. I believe you can get them through James Allen.
I mean... literally the only way to get a one-of-a-kind design is to design it yourself. And even then, it might be copied. You can certainly strive for an unusual design. There are plenty of places that make unusual and uncommon pieces of jewelry. Plenty of them are recommended frequently on these boards. It's also useful to remember that just because something is fairly common on Pricescope doesn't mean it is in real life. What sort of unusual jewelry do you like? Modern style? Vintage? Colored stones? If you are looking for a fairly simple aesthetic and a white diamond, it's unlikely that anything about it will be remotely unique, because there are only so many ways to do the same thing. But if you branch into fussier designs and color, you increase the chances of coming up with something you won't see anywhere else.
I like the modern style, and I've followed your advice to look around here. I have seen some really nice rings on this forum and I will ask the people who posted the pics for more info and help.
