So I found another high end jeweler close to where I live. I went in and started trying on eternity bands that I was set on getting. After a while, the woman showed me some other alternatives...and I think I like them more than the eternity route. The second and last picture is the same ring. That one might be my favorite. The pics doesn't do it justice. It is one band and two pave eternity bands on each side. The first one is one band but looks like three. I like the third one but might get sick of it. These are so not what I was thinking but they might be the best I've found so far. What do you think?

Thanks for looking and I appreciate all the input!

How big is the stone or cz in the set that you like - larger or smaller than your stone? You need to make sure you are comparing apples to apples in terms of the center stone size.

The rings are pretty but you want to make sure that you don't lose your stone in the setting - otherwise it all blends together. It's fine if you like the look but if you want your stone to stand out, you might have to look at a setting that is thinner in width.

I have come to understand that the kind of setting I would like, most probably will not emphasize my solitaire. I just wamt to bling it up and my solitaire will probably get more lost in that. I also tried on a solitaire set in an eternity band and an eternity band (so 2 eternity) and felt my diamond was even more lost with that.

These settings are so not where I pictured I would go but I really liked them on.

Thanks for your input!

And that is absolutely fine - getting the look you want is the most important thing. Just trying to point out all aspects so you absolutely love your choice - nothing worse than remorse if it doesn't look the way you planned it to.

The only way you really know what you love is getting out there and trying a million settings on - you've chosen some pretty ones to be sure!

And that is why I come here....to get some unbiased advice. Many times when you ask friends, they tell you what you want to hear. I understand that the bottomline is that I have to love it but it is a bigger purchase so would be nice to get someones input :).

Thanks again!

I believe this is the same ring as the one I really liked but this one has a halo. I really like it like this as well! I would most probably add two thin pave bands on each side.

Do you like the halo better than the non-halo?

Not sure! Wouldnt that emphasize the solutaire more?

It gives a stone a larger visual appearance - many have cured their diamond shrinkage syndrome with a halo!

Have you looked at any Tacori settings? You can search for them here or go to Tacori's website. They have some very nice halo settings in all sorts of combinations - three stone, diamond shanks, etc.

that one looks like a standalone ring to me.

what size is your center stone? I agree with MGR...keep trying on settings.
