Trade or sell?

I purchased a ring thinking it was an ear cuff. I googled the maker/model number when I got home to find that it was a digit ring meant to wear low and cover a long fingernail. Unfortunately, I keep short nails do to work and hobbies. Its gorgeous, just really not my style. So what should I do? Try to sell it, find a way to trade it for something I'll wear, or?

I assume you cannot simply return it for a refund? In that case I would try to sell it unless you could get full trade in value for something else that you’d like to have.

Unfortunately it was a final sale at Bergdorfs.

Is it possible to find a jeweler that could convert it to an ear cuff? With what you would likely lose on re-sale, you could probably spend the same amount and have something wearable?

This might be a viable alternative!

What an interesting piece. I'm hoping you'll let us know what you decide to do with it.

Love this. I could totally rock this. Hope you will wfind a way to enjoy it

it’s a cool piece. What about breaking it up into 2 items, a ring & pendant. I’m not sure if it’s feasible but I would check with a jeweller if it can be done.

How cool. Haven’t seen a ring like this before. Looking forward to hearing what you decide to do with it

It is a nice concept and design, for occasional wear or those who do not need to do any housework!

Don't like the pointy end protruding over the long nail though, as it looks like it could cause a nasty scratch, unless it is part of the design concept!

Not for me personally, as I only wear one ring on each hand, either on the ring finger (LH) or middle finger (both hands).

Good luch with whatever the OP has decided to do with it.

DK :))
