It depends but usually 30 - 50% if you are fortunate to be able to trade or sell it, of what you paid for it - assuming the diamond has a GIA report. Ungraded or EGL, IGI and various other labs may be harder to sell. The best thing would be to get the diamond independantly appraised, tell the appraiser you would like a suitable figure to use to try to sell or trade it if possible and they may be able to advise you.
