Yes they were in the blow-out sale.

Gem quality pearls are top of the line pearls with exceptional luster and virtually no surface markings. In the case of freshwaters, they''re also very round. AAA freshwaters are round to near round in shape. I would expect a noticeable difference between the gem quality strand and the ones you ordered especially in terms of roundness and surface markings. The luster will also probably be better too, but I don''t know by how much since they''re dyed black.

You''ll also see branded gem quality freshwaters like freshadamas. These branded gem quality freshwaters are the very best of the gem quality pearls. They usuallly feature a quality called orient.
