Total newbie here! Need help find a custom jeweler in CA

Hi there!

You guys have been educating me about diamonds for the past 2 weeks, finally registered so I can talk to you guys! I''ve been looking into ERD and Maytal Hannah to customize an ering, want to find out if there are other custom jewelers I can look into. What is the west coast equivalent of ERD (in terms of quality, skills and $)? I''m in orange county so I''d love to have a local jeweler (LA ok too!)

My first choice is Maytal but I haven''t heard back regarding my quotes (i''ve contact her via email and phone) so I''m wondering if I should also pursue other venues.

Any help for this newbie is greatly appreciated!

I got mine at the Custom Goldsmith at Santa Ana Mall. Don''t let the mall thing fool you. It''s a family owned jewelry place, and Harry is an excellent craftsman. Very easy to talk to. However, I have not made a purchase for a precious stone there, so I wouldn''t know about that experience.

HI Choro72, thank you so much for the rec! can you tell me more about them? I''d like them to make a very delicate rose gold ring with a radiant center and micro pave on the basket and shank with milgrain. do you think they would be able to make something very delicate? thanks for your help

Thanks Chas! I spoke with the owner of 23rd today and she is just the sweetest! The initial quote I received was higher than what I was hoping for, but she''s going to look into the details of that setting and confirm the price. I do hope it''s lower!
