handbag? dress? pair of shoes?

Handbag - Coach - 350
Dress - Wedding Dress, nearly 1000 after alterations
Shoes - I honestly don't know. I rarely buy shoes over 100 dollars. I'd say 150 MAX, but I can't remember the pair.

handbag? dress? pair of shoes?
Handbag: right around the 3k mark

Dress: my wedding gown was above 5k...and that is honestly the most expensive dress I''ve ever owned or even plan on owning.

Shoes: $550. I am so not a shoe gal.

Handbag - my only Coach bag, about $500.
Dress - hmm... not exactly sure. I think it might have been about $200 for an A.B.S. dress a few years ago.
Shoes - I got a pair of Prada boots for $400 at Nordstrom Rack.

Handbag: $9,593.00 (Hermes size 35 Birkin [swift leather, bleu de prusse color, gold hardware])
Dress: Can''t remember.
Shoes: $600.00 for a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes

if you wore the gown for 8 hrs on your wedding day = $625 per hr.

handbag = $30
dress = $200 (either my prom or bridesmaid dress)
shoes = $40

I tend to be a bit thrifty, and only buy things I absolutely LOVE. Otherwise, I find I get bored with the item quickly and feel my money was wasted.

I try to avoid that at all costs.

handbag: $500

Dress: $1800 (my wedding dress 14 yr ago)

shoes: $150 (wedding shoes)

Handbag - maybe $60 (when I was younger and more carefree in my spending
4.gif
) These days, I certainly don''t want to spend more than $30!!
Dress - $800-ish for wedding dress
Shoes - maybe $50

I am rather thrify in my spending on myself and am quite proud of it!

Haha, I''m cheap and not really a shopper.

Purse - 25$ leather briefcase for work
Dress - wedding dress, 500$
Shoes - 80$ nike sneakers

And it was worth every penny. I felt like a bride, it was perfect. My dress is also right around 5% of the entire cost of my wedding, which is really reasonable.

Here is what I know about life: sometimes you have to look at the item, not the price tag.

handbag .... around $500
dress ....not sure a couple hundred most likely
shoes ....$800

handbag: $99.00 for a Coach purse from marshall''s that I sold on Ebay
9.gif

dress: oh wow, I don''t know... I think $120 or $130? It was a J. Crew dress for a wedding last year... but, technically my parents paid for it, so... I can''t think of any dress that I have paid more than $100 for. I actually can''t think of any that I paid more than $50 for (on sale), but there is bound to be one...

Shoes: Maybe $85 dollars for tennis shoes?

I do a lot of shopping at Marshall''s...

Handbag: $250 Coach handbag. I've only ever bought one other Coach handbag for $150, and all the others are adorable and unique little things that I find when we travel or in little shops, and I wear those out much more than my Coach handbags and they cost much less.

Dress: My wedding gown was around $4,000. Worth every penny. Other than my wedding gown I once spent $300 on a dress for a benefit gala, and I adore that dress, too.

Shoes: Probably $100 or so for my wedding shoes, but I have no idea, really. I love shoes, but I love a good deal even more. I don't spend much on my shoes.
ETA: I've spent $150 on gym shoes before, I can't believe I forgot that. And my last pair of roller skates were $260, I think, without the extra set of wheels. I spend more on shoes I need for activities, apparently.

I have spent $200 on a great pair of jeans, though. Nothing beats a really sexy pair of jeans, in my opinion. And I wear them more than I wear any pair of shoes. Normally though, I'm a conservative spender.

Handbag--Coach Outlet on sale, $200. But then I got home and showed it to best friend and she ordered the same bag off Ebay and paid like $50, which I will be doing next time.

Wedding dress $600. But this was in 1982 $$$ which you need to multiply by at least 3 to get the price today. I didn''t buy this myself. My grandmother''s wedding gift to me. The most I ever paid myself for a dress was $200 in the 1980''s for a formal dress. I have to go to a lot of formal things. Now I have discovered consignment and Good Will and pay much less. My last formal dress I bought for $5 (five dollars) three weeks ago at neighborhood thrift shop. It''s silk and it has beautiful detailing and is very fitted. I wore it to a formal affair already and am wearing to a nice dinner this week. then I''ll probably retire it.
It doesn''t get any better.

Shoes, $80 or so for a pair of Naots I wear every day. they were supposed to cost quite a bit more but after I tried them on i the shoe store and made sure they fit, I ordered the same pair off Ebay.

your dress cost more than my wedding.

Handbag: $3,000
Dress: $400 (I''m not including my wedding dress since I did not pay for it)
Shoes: $800

bag- $400
Dress - $600 (wedding gown) although I won't spend more than $100 on a dress, haven't bought a dress in ages. I don't do the dress look very well, so I"m more of a skirt and top gal.
shoes -$295

(this is all pre- family) now I"m much more thrifty

Handbag- $1500 Marc Jacobs bag
Dress- probably around $250 for prom and cocktail type dresses
Shoes- $130 for Stuart Weitzman''s on sale.

Bag: $575 for a BCBG tote that I adore and use all the time (I''m not a bag person, but this one has lasted me 3 years, still looks new, and fits everything!)
Dress: $250 maybe? Maybe! Oh yea, for my bridesmaids dresses.
Shoes: $200...usually won''t go higher than that...for any type of shoe, unless it''s a wedding shoe (I might not even want to spend that).

The only thing I will splurge on is a great pair of jeans. The most I''ve paid is $150, BUT I''d go higher if I really like them....and I''d buy 2 or 3 pairs.

Er...

£40 on a bag.
$200 on a dress (for prom years ago).
$50 on shoes?

Wow! I''m in some very wealthy company! But hey, if you earn it, you spend it right?

Bag/purse: honestly can''t remember, but probably no more than C$200. It was from a fairly smart shop in Britannia, Calgary so it wasn''t cheap. Can''t stand the damn things, can never find anything in them and almost never carry one in the summer months.

Dress: Can''t remember the price of wedding dress number one, but it was probably the most expensive dress I have ever bought. Doubt it was over £500.

Boots: Donald Pliners, were up there, probably around C$500, but worth every penny

.

I''m re-thinking my choices here: Should I really have married? Had two children??? Bought a house??

My humble list:

Handbag: $600. Carlos Falchi 30+ years ago, but like new.
Dress: $1500. for a 3 piece Celine outfit
Shoes: $500 Bruno Magli
Canary yellow Jag convertible: priceless
9.gif

$380 for a handbag

Oh my ... lemmie think.

Handbag: $650ish (Gucci)
Dress: $500 & I never even got it ... was the deposit for disastrous wedding dress #1, unaccepted
Shoes: $295 (leather Uggs I purchased for my dad one year at Xmas)

Am not really a shoe or dress girl I guess. Have big feet & am a pretty casual dresser. Handbags are another thing entirely though

I don''t spend a lot of any of that stuff, and I eloped so my dress was very inexpensive.

Handbag - $150
Dress - $250
Shoes - $150

Mostly I spend a lot on jeans (spent about $175 on the most recent pair) and makeup (I''ve spent $50 on a single blush).

I'd have bet ya that 5K that you'd have "felt like a bride" in almost any dress that day!
