To sit flush or not flush, ''''tis the question.

OK, so I''ve found some styles I like for an e-ring and I''m starting to work with the White Flash people on a design. However, I still don''t know if I should get something for my special lady that will sit flush with a wedding ring or not. She did mention that she likes the idea of wearing both rings but I''ve found some designs that look really pretty and "flowy." I just know she''d really love them but I don''t want to go so far as showing her pictures and I''d like to make it as much of a surprise as possible. Also, she said she doesn''t care and that she''ll love whatever I get.

I figure that she may not want to wear the big ring all the time anyway because we enjoy alot of outdoor activities. Also, maybe some custom ring could be made curvy and fit right in the spot.

I''m not sure if there''s a question in there or not. I guess I just don''t know what to do and I''m about to plunk down alot of dough! Thanks!

if it''s curvy, then I''d probably go with a custom made band to fit with it, and then get a plain round for other times.

If it''s just a small gap because the head sticks out a little, then that''s probably ok

Thanks, that makes sense. I''m thinking of something like this:

very pretty. WF will do a much better job than that picture, I'm sure.

For something like that, I think it could go either way. I think I'd go with straight.

Ok, cool! Thanks! I just needed some words on encouragement I think.

And I agree about WF. Is it just me or should those channel set diamonds be touching? Looks kind of weird how they''re spaced out differently. I don''t remember where I got that picture but I thought it was some designer name setting.

the gaps in the picture are like the Grand Canyon.

edit: never mind

Okay, this may not help one little bit, but I wanted to say that I love that style setting. I work with my hands a lot and I don''t have a problem with how this sits on me. I love channel settings and how mine tapers. I have side stones, and an emerald shape center stone-but I just wanted to show you my setting and say how much I like your choice.

that''s a very nice setting!
I wouldn''t mind a small gap, but that is totally personal preferance. She sounds easy going, so I am sure you will know her best. Keep us posted so we can help with ideas!!

The ring you posted is beautiful (with the exception of those horrendous gaps in the channel setting

). I think a straight band would line up with that quite well. Just definitely get a better company replicate the setting or make sure yours doesn''t have those gaps!!

Oh, I agree. That tiny taper will not matter at all when you put a regular straight wedding band with it. I would not want a curved band since on rare occasions you might wear the band alone.

One more idea for the band from WF http://www.whiteflash.com/Wedding_Bands/Matching-Channel-Set-for-X-Prong_985.htm#.

This way you will achieve not only ''flush'' look but keeping a shape of an e-ring ''followed'' by the band.
I''d prefer this more if the e-ring band didn''t have diamonds running down the sides. I think the lack of symmetry would bother me with the straight line of diamonds across the e-ring and the curved line on the band.

However, a plain curved band (no diamonds) would look lovely.

If you''re really hung up on diamonds in the w-band, then I''d see if WF would make a wedding band to match the e-ring band. I don''t think the little bit where the ring tapers in would really be noticeable at all.

Great, thanks for all of the comments. After getting your feedback, and thinking about it some more, I think either a straight or a curved band will look fine. After the e-ring is done, and I''ve proposed, then I guess the little lady will have the final say on the band she likes!

Also, thanks for those pics.
