To halo, or not to halo?

Hi everyone!
I''m new to pricescope and wanted some opinions! My boyfriend is ring shopping and my job is to provide ideas. I love the cushion cut and would like pave around the band. I''m just not sure if I like the halo or not. I like Michael B''s princess setting (without the halo) and have always been drawn to the Verragio Insignia 7005 (with a halo)... any ideas about how a cushion cut would look in that Verragio setting?

well depending how large your stone is will determine my answer

either will be beautiful, but if you were to have a 2 ct cushion? I might prefer to just let the stone shine without the halo

When I was trying to find an example of my setting (tacori 2620) with an asscher I found the following cushion 2ct . It may give you an idea of how it will look with a delicate halo. Good luck!

When we first started looking for rings, I only wanted paves around the band, because I thought it would detract from the diamond. But then I found this super elegant settting that featured a halo. And now, rather than detracting from my diamond, I think it actually enhances the stone and makes the ring look super delicate.

I live by 1 rule....everything is better haloed!

I''m a halo addict too. And you don''t see them much IRL.

Thanks so much for the posts! I''m not sure if it''s making the desicion easier or harder though... I will definitely have to shop around and see more in person. You''re right though, I''m not finding many people with halos, and I wish I could see that verragio with a cushion... better just get out to the jewelry store!

When we reset my diamond into a halo setting, we had an unexpected surprise. The center stone looked larger. I''m not talking about the overall size of the halo, but only the center stone. The diamonds in the halo are tiny. I can''t explain it, but I love it

It''s personal preference, but I like without a halo better.

I think you need to go try them on and see what you think! I think the decision will be easy when you see them on your finger.

+1 but it all comes down to personal opinion and what others think doesn''t really matter because we won''t be wearing it. If you''re a halo fan then go for it - if, like me, you''re not a fan then go with the Michael B

I prefer the Verragio!
