To flush fit or to not flush fit, that is the question!

Mine is flush fit, and has been for decades, and I still like the look. :)) Lots of times the rings move apart anyways, so unless you have them soldered they will move around a bit.

If you think you would like a plain wedding band, I suggest that you should start with that. Back in the day we called the diamond bands "anniversary rings". So if you decide later that you would like a diamond band, well there it is... the perfect gift for one of your wedding anniversaries. :naughty:

Enerchi - that first one with the milgrain is just gorgeous. I think that'd look amazing with the e-ring. Do you have any idea if ERD could pull off something so delicate?

Laila, sortmon, bella & flygirl - thank you for all your input. I didn't make it to the mall this weekend but I think I'll just go ahead with the production of the ring as it's designed (whenever that happens!), and embrace the donut! When it really comes down to it, although in the picture the donut looks large, it's magnified and IRL with a <2 or 2mm shank the donut itself is probably only sticking out a mm or so past the band!

Your ring is gorgeous. In would want flush fit just because I like very symmetrical things. I don't dislike them on others it would just bug me.
