This reminds me of a question I had a while back. I noticed that every now and then, I would see reports in the news of behavioral studies involving dogs. I asked myself, why don't I ever see reports about studies with cats?

Well, a reporter asked a bunch of scientists the same question, and the answer was simple: have you ever tried getting a bunch of cats to do the same thing over and over while you observe them?
