I just wanted you to know that I took the LOGR ring (the ones we both have) and the 8mm tanga garnet to my jeweller yesterday. He was looking at both items, ''big sighs'', and told me that he didn''t know if he could set it because of the way the 8mm tanga was made, a cushion, yes but not quite shaped like a cushion. If the garnet was a wee bit smaller, he could work with it and the setting. He has to take to his friend (who is also a jeweller) to see if it''s do able.

But I just wanted you to know. I gotta go to work!!

What your jeweler could do is build some prongs for it. I rather that your stone not be bezeled anyways - bit too dark for a bezel IMHO. LTP has a BB cushion like that (I think a few), and had them prong set. It should be doable.
