Hi,

I''m looking at buying some titanium rings from the interent (online stores, ebay, etc..)
WHile looking at ebay i see various stores with all these titanium ratings such as:
-A 10KT TITANIUM BAND RING: AREO SPACE GRADE NON CORROSIVE AIRCRAFT GRADE (61A/4V)
- others say ''Pure Titanium''
-Aerospace Grade Titanium (6AL-4V)
and also, how can some of these companies start bidding at 1$ - sometimes i see auctions ending at a low price - are titanium rings really that expensive or it is a matter of ''brand name''?
thank you.
- confused shopper.

Fot Ti rings, the model determine the price more than the material. Ti is not worked as the other jewelry metals, and prices reflect the cost of processing. It would probably e better to look at stores selling only titanium jewelry to get an idea of market prices. There is no way to do so on Ebay with auctions starting and ending all over the place.

Most Titanium bands are quite inexpensive, and could go well below $100 in normal 'retail' conditions (ofline or on). What model do you have in mind?

hey,
nothing too in particular, some designs are simple and nice i.e.:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2695457490&category=10297&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1
and other more complex ones like this:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15126&item=2695700691
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15126&item=2695893334
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15126&item=2696115360

I just figured i'd probably save more $ over ebay, but i wasn't sure how i can know whether it was good quality or not, many say it's aerospace quality (6a/4v) which i understand means 90% titanium, 6% aluminium and 4% vinidium (sp?)
thanks!

I purchased a titanium band from boonerings.com and I can highly recommend Bruce Boone and his work. Check out this link: Click Here

I have noticed alot of people get bored with Ti Rings after a few months and go to gold/pt ect. The feel on the hand being so light implies low value for a lot of people. Someting to consider when looking at a non traditional metal. Its not that way for everyone. But I have seen it often enough that there is a lot of people this way.
