Hi all,

I have been a long time lurker on the forums and now am at that point where I am buying a stone for my gf and I need some experts help!

I am based in Australia and have found a few stones on an Australian website (who source from multiple places across the globe of course) and I have come to learn that the cut can make quite a difference on a stone.

I am searching for min:

Shape: Round
Size 1.55-1.75ct
Colour F-G
Clarity - SI1 - VS2
ex/ex/ex or preferably Super ideal (I know GIA don't do this)
Diameter 7.5x7.5 or larger ( have tried on gf's hand to get an idea)

I have come across many posts here discussing the "numbers" game in determining whether the stone is ideal cut along with the risks purchasing off numbers only. It appears this outlet (a very large highly reviewed place) does not provide HCA scores or any of the light testing. I think it would be dependent off the merchant they were buying from as to whether they could provide such data for each stone.

Given that, I have been searching for stones with specs close to Super Ideal specs stated by posters here...If i can narrow down I can then request more detailed imagery whilst ruling out lower value stones.

Is there some way posters could help or rank the stones below as to what seems to be a good happy medium? I understand compromise needs to come into the equation at some point.

I've included a few stones I am tossing up between, trying to find a good size and sparkle..They all within $1k of each other.

I am also happy to buy through US site and searched numerous ones however will pay min 10% additional plus possibly additional 5% VAT. Unless vendor states stone is from US and then I believe goes through FTA.

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Re: Tips to help with selection process for 1.55-1.70ct ston

56191847/ GIA 5176898135 has an inclusion under the table and isn't likely to be eye clean. I also don't care for the shallow crown.

Can't find images for the other ones but I doubt either of the SI1 1.7ct ones are eye clean.

It seems the 1.51ct has the best proportions so it might be the best of the 4.
