trying to get back into planning
right now, i''m attacking the budget, and trying to figure out what really is expected for tipping of vendors. I''m in NYC, so not sure if it varies from state to state.
I''ve recently heard (and am happy to hear) that you don''t need to tip vendors who own their own company (ie if the band has no agency, florist owns her company, photographer works for herself).
Is this true?
So this would mean I only have to tip those who part of an larger agency/company and not in direct benefit of 100% of fees (limo, assistant to photographer)? Is this acceptable or would the key people be insulted? For example if I pay the photog in full only and give her assistant a tip? And in that case what tip is appropriate?
Thanks..
