#TBT Tiny Pinks Are Extra-Fun!

Hello fellow jewellery fanatics!
I wanted to show you what I've been up to.
I aquired a twin set of 5P Argyle pinks pears quite some time ago, from my local jewller.
They weighed - wait for it - 0.03ct each!
They were so tiny that I felt unsure how to proceed.

Eventually I decided that they should be set with in a solitaire-style ring.
This was exciting to me as it was a good excuse to attain a white-metal wedding set!
I adore my tiffany-style solitaire set in yg, but it is definitely very nice to be able to swap metals as you choose!

Careful not to overwhelm the pinks, I chose a 1.3ct D/VS2 stone.
I felt I could go no larger than this. I also decided to go for D, as a contrast to the pink stones.

As my yg solitaire is 1.6, the size-whore in me was concerned that I would be unhappy with the 1.3 size.
So I did worry a little as the ring was being made up.
Needless to say, the ring is perfect, and all my worry was for nothing!
The stone is the perfect size for my local 'cultural conditions', and so I am very happy.

The platinum wedder and an eternity ring are 'in the works' and yet to come.

firstly here is the new e-ring with the yg set



...and here he is, hanging out with the yg wedding set - and the big brother family ring which I received when I very sadly lost my last baby...
I am considering redressing big bro into another plain platinum setting - perhaps a bezel - to wear as another alternative e-ring.
Loving the white metal! (but couldnt give up yg completely lol)

I wanted to get on the coloured diamond bandwagon, but wasn't sure if I would enjoy colour every day IYKWIM.
I find these teensy pears are elegant and special, without distracting me or screaming 'colour'.

So I would heartily recommend 'just a touch' of coloured diamonds.

The teensy dash of colour does add a smile to my face, and of course it is beautiful and feminine as well.
Hmmm there might be something to this coloured diamond craze!

The 'D' is my 'mindclean' thing - it is fun to know it is D.... but it is a secret I can only actively share on PS lol.
I am happy to report the F and G hold their own against it though!

I mean, hubby is pleased that I'm pleased - but....let me say he is bemused I enjoy posting pictures of the ring online

Eternity ring is probably going to be a pave of colourless pear stones (if we can source them), sized to match in with the pinks.
We'll see.
