It's my first pink, and first heart cut! Two birds, one (tiny) stone.
This is a picture of the original ring, which I bought without hesitation. The novelty of a natural pink diamond in a pretty, affordable design made it a must-buy for me. However, this ring was a size 7, and to my dismay they weren't able to size it down to a 4.
Rotem from Asteria offered to create a new ring from scratch, which I gratefully accepted though worried a remake wouldn't live up to the original...
And I worried for nothing, as Rotem more than made it up to me!
It just arrived today in the most hilarious packaging (a huge box, then a medium bag, then a small box, then a smaller box, then a beautiful presentation box, then finally the teeny weeny ring). Very ultra safe! As soon as I saw the tiny thing sparkling up at me, I knew I made a gooood choice.
These are just some quick phone snaps, I'm charging up my camera and will take better photos tomorrow! It's difficult to capture the delicate color and surprising sparkle, but I really love this ring.
It's minuscule by pricescope standards (or, any standards, really) but I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I'm no expert on color, but it appears to be more purple-pink than the orangey-pink of the original. I actually think I like purplish pink better with my skintone. The little butterfly is also new (gift from DH), but luckily they go together like peanut butter and banana.
I don't think there's any other way I'd have gotten a pink diamond ring within my 'fun' budget, so I'm super thankful that Rotem was willing to work with me. I have nothing but good things to say, he was communicative and patient and professional.
Oh and, since I've never shown it around here before, this is my champagne pear. I got a cheapy UV pen recently, and found out it has yellow fluor (hard to capture accurate pic, but it's quite different from the greeny-blue fluor some of my other diamonds show)! What does that even mean?Diamonds Nature is weird...
