Hello! I came across this wonderful community while searching information on an eternity band for our upcoming wedding anniversary. This is my first post! I've been looking for a step cut eternity band (carré, asscher, square emerald). I'm leaning towards a channel set. I wasn't really looking for a Tiffany piece but fell for a ring that I saw at a well known antique jeweler (however it's a bit out of my price range). I found a similar band on eBay (the price is better) This is a reputable individual with a business outside of eBay and I have actually talked with her on the phone. (I realize it's still eBay and risky). The question is regarding the two Tiffany logos and general look inside the bands. They are both platinum step cut carré 3 carat full eternity bands E-F VVS. The one from the Antique store has a raised logo that is low along the ring's edge and the inside "windows", where the diamonds show through, are larger and spaced closer together. (The first two pictures below) The ring from the eBay seller has an etched logo with a "C", sitting higher inside the ring with tiny cut out squares above, while the rest of squares are smaller and spaced further apart. Any thoughts on these Tiffany & Co differences would be so appreciated!
On a side note: Although I love the vintage look of a step cut diamond, I am a bit concerned that this type of channel set eternity band won't sparkle enough. I realize it's a more "quiet" sparkle but I do want some shine
Again, I'd love your feedback, as this purchase will be a very special one for us...
