Tiffany "square-mixed cut" - what is it?

I saw a stunning yellow diamond ring at Tiffany’s with this cut I believe. It was gorg!!! (The price tag not so much lol)

I saw this ring in store yesterday. It’s called the Tiffany True and it is beyond stunning. I’ll be ring shopping this coming weekend so I’ll be sure to take some pics!

It looks like a cross between an Antique Cushion & a Modern Cushion; pillow shape, soft edges, with broad facet pattern. Very interesting. :mrgreen2:
 
You might see cushions with a step cut crown in the wilderness too, if not many. Lucida did a step pavilion with brilliant crown. Same flair of the house...

Good point it has that cushiony shape...I was originally going to write it looks like a cross between a cushion, step cut, and RB but didn't think that made any sense.:lol-2: It's got a lot going on! Looks like it's only available in white though, I'm guessing it doesn't hold the color in as well for yellows.

I love that cut! I would be very curious to know what the prices run!? Through the roof I would imagine!:eek2:
 
That's a very interesting cut. It's got a lot going on. I would love to see it perform in person!

Lol no I only tried it on - it was over $100k! I think this one was over 2 carats. They also had a much smaller one, as well, less than a carat for about $15k.

It looks like a cross between an Asscher and a cushion cut! I got the Tiffany & Co. catalog in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I saw it then!
At first I thought it looked like a square-ish radiant cut because it's a sketch of the stone, not a photo in the catalog. It's very interesting!
Is it me, or does this look a little small for $100k??
